Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas~!

Chirstmas is over and it's time to welcome year 2009!!!

Can't wait for sunday to come as i'm flying off to Korea~!!! It has always been my dream to go Korea coz my impression of Korea is a beautiful and clean country with kind and well-mannered people. And I can't wait to see the nice scenery at Jeju Island and snow!! It's my first time going to a country during winter season....ooo~, imagine rolling on the snow, throwing snow balls at each other...hee! Kimchi...my fav kimchi~!..haha!

Dec has been a very busy month....attending concerts, gatherings, shopping for presents, buying winter wear etc etc...time flies so fast when there's so many things to be done. Finally, it's coming to an end...here are some of the pics taken during the month of Dec... ...

These are the gifts I prepared for my secondary school "sisters" (Bday gal yi chun, amanda and wendy)... ...

... chocolate cupcakes...

... Vanilla cupcakes ...

... For my "sisters" ...

Because of the time limit, the taste of the cupcakes is not the best. Din have time to go and buy raisins, chopped almonds and chocolate rice..so the cupcakes are kind of plain. Kind of lost my touch in baking...hee~! Sorry gals...i promise the next time i bake for you all, it will taste much better~! By the way, I baked the cakes on Sunday nite to ensure they are still fresh when I pass to them the next day. Saw the brown and dark red toppings?...The brown topping is apple puree which i made it myself. My sis say it's nice..hee~! The other one is strawberry puree which i bought. I hope you gals like them....hee!

A few weeks back, went bugis shopping with Yi Chun. Saw this tall christmas tree at Paco Bugis Mall....decided to take pics of it...

If i din remembered wrongly, I went shopping with Lani. Our last stop was at Far East....and as i was walking on the overhead bridge beside Far East, I had the urge to snap a view of the traffic jam at orchard road... ... oh manz!

This is the Christmas Log Cake from BreadTalk... ... very creative packaging design... ...

... mango mousse log cake ...

Attended Yit Hann's UAN "Live" Live Concert last sat. Wendy and bf last min have to work. Amanda and Xue Lin have to work. Yi Chun fly off to taiwan. So i'm left alone to attend hann's concert...haiz! Luckily I still have Kerrine to accompany me!

...saw the uncle selling tissue paper?..that's yit hann!..

... Hann solo performance..he sang "find my way"... i think so..=X

... the finale ...

Overall, I think it was a great concert! I enjoyed the dance, singing and acting...i mean i would love anything to do with music! =D Most of the songs are my fav songs...i really enjoyed it~!

Oya~! Kerrine's bf joined us during the second part of the show. Feel happy for kerrine. Coz so far, i think this is the only bf i think that left a very good impression in me. Definitely not because he gave me a ride home, it's the feel that he gave me. I trust my sense of judement...hee! He's quite a good catch..so kerrine, keep him well at your side k...haha!

Well..sometimes i feel it's really blessful to have someone special to care for, to love and to accompany. And it's a one in a zillion chance to meet the right live time partner. It's the wish of every woman to meet her mr right...but unfortunately, it's not always possible...in fact, it might never happen... ...

Anyway, see you all in a week's time! Korea...here i come~! Aneyo haseyo~!

I miss the days in Sec2/6... ...

Met up wif yichun on fri nite and we settled dinner @ bishan cafe cartel becoz of the "free-flow-bagguets" and UOB-credit cards 10% off promotion...hee! Can't blame us for being so "auntie". Considering the economic crisis we are facing now, we feel it's more practical to turn to budget eating places where the food is value for money!
As usual, we eat like nobody's business and no image at all. We help ourselves with the free-flow of bagguets..haha! We eat, chat, joke, talk nonsense...so freely like small kids. Of course we also complained about ridiculous incidents tat took place at our work places. Complain = destress!
As we foot the bill and was about to leave the place after my last sip of plain water, yichun spotted yit hann who walked passed us! She called to verify if tat was him and yup, it's him! Yeah...i'm so happy coz it was like half or almost a year since we last met his musical! So happy we finally can catch up with each other. He joined us for a chat before we left as the shops were closing. I'm glad that he is doing fine and getting on well except tat he sounded pessimistic. We have aged and changed. We have matured. We have changed in our perceptions and expectations in life. It's good as it shows tat we have grown up, moved on and learnt... ...
We also chatted about the days in sec 2/6. We doubtlessly agreeded tat that was the most enjoyable class we ever had, be it the classmates, teachers and environment! How i wish i can go back to those school days... ...

My longed weekend is gone! =(

It's been an extremely busy and tiring week for all of us in the dept except for "someone" who enjoys having lunch out of the company and slack his way day-dreaming! Dun wanna mention names coz it's NOT worth mentioning anyway!

Becoz a customer from overseas was here for their "taste-improving" project for their products, I was being assigned to this stage of the project. Being extremely stressed becoz of the time constraint, I was easily agitated for the whole week. My nightmare came when I was asked to join them for lunch-out. Argh~! I hate all these "entertaining". My food din get digested till the next day. So you can see how depressed I was when I have to spend time eating with them while in my mind I was worrying about completing my task for the day. Manz...if i have the choice, I would nv want to eat wif director P ever after! He's such a "da nan ren", stating alot of logics and forcing me to eat food i dun like..argh~! Nightmare~! But still, I think he makes a good father.

Alot happened during the week but i'm too lazy to blog it down. Forget it, dun wanna spoil my day!

Weekend is finally here yet gone! Yesterday was burned off with me and mum going chinatown OG checking out coldwear coz we are going Korea this coming Dec!! =D Oh manz...it was tiring walking here and there. We even went to bugis OG after tat to check out for more designs. How can we afford to let our stomach go empty rite..especially when i'm wif mum! Mum treated me to hawker food at Chinatown. We had chicken curry mee, nasi lemak, my fav Gingko nuts with beancurd skins, fruits rojak and sugar cane water. After so many weeks of luxury food, having simple food at hawker centers is simply as enjoyable! Thanks mum! Finally, we met up wif sis at orchard john little and decided to just buy the down jackets there. Great deals! Yeah yeah~!
Some unhappy incident took place when on the way home but i shall not elaborate further as it concerns other parties. All i can say is that it takes alot of effort to maintain a relationship. A 5 to 7 yrs relationship does not mean stability. It will also break over some nitty-gritty incident. This incident had not only affected my mood, but also deepened my relunctance to commit to a relationship or even marriage. It's simply too complicated and tiring. I never believe in "ever-lasting" love... ...

Unhappy things aside, I jus have the urge to post some pics taken at Karen's and Tat Zhun's bday gatherings! Oooyeah...it's pics, pics and PICS...!!

Group photo at Excelsior Hotel Coleman Cafe (Tunch Buffet)...

... ... feeling tired and thirsty, we settled down at Gelere Cafe for some drinks, ice creams and waffles ... ...

... ... poor bday boy Tat Zhun was not spared by Si Yuen ... ...

shld be thankful it's not some yucky thing lo!

HooRay~! All my friends are already 21 years old~! It's time to visit the casino...wahaha~! =X Ok...stop my nonsense. Tomorow's monday again...so many things to complete...haiz! Shall be back for updates again...bye~! =P

Dinner @ Billy Bombers on 28 Sep 2008

Oh yeah~! I still remember it was a very long day for me and yichun on 28 sep 08 (sun) but we enjoyed ourselves as it was very relaxing far away from work~! =)

I had a mission on that day which was to represent my frens to shop for karen's bday pressie on 3Oct08 lo! Other than perfumes and cosmetics products, i have no idea wat to buy for her manz! But i dun want to buy those products for her again...i wanna buy something diff from her past bday pressies. So after KLunch @ amk, chun and me went to bugis to pray at the Guan Yin Temple. I drew a lot to ask if I should leave my company..well seems like the ans was to stay..haha~! Well...i shall leave it to fate ba.

We shopped around at parco bugis mall...haha...bought a few clothes for myself...i mean in the process of hunting for karen's bday pressie, I spotted some clothes that suits me...hey hey! So when I realised time was running short as it was almost 8pm~! I decided to seriously shop for the present. Lucky chun was there to help me try the sizes. Finally, when i was in my most desperate state, I came across a shop that sells lovely sweet long tops which is very "karen-style". After trying out the sizes for the $49.90 one, I wanna buy another top for her since it costs only $29.90. But when every thing has been finalised and I was about to pay, the sales person told me it's 92 after 15% discount~! Wah lao eh...how can tat be?! Then she told me the clothes were priced at $49.90 and $59.90 respectively. She explained that someone had accidentally hanged the wrong price tag on the hanger. Wat the shit man! I requested her to void it but she say can't. Coz I was not in very good mood and din want delay chun's time, I decided to just pay lo. Wah lao..i feel as if i have been conned manz~! Damn pissed off! I feel abit pai seh that my other frens have to pay more than expected. My apologies gals!

Forget about the stupid incident! Luckily, I get to eat delicious food which cheered me up. Becoz chun has a $15 off Billy Bomber voucher with min $30 purchased, we decided to dine at that place at Parco Bugis Junction B1. Yeah yeah~! Show you the food we ordered ... ...

... ... for starters, we had my favourite nachos with chicken bits and pickles ... ... i like the sauces, very very delicious. Matches so well with the nachos chips!!

... ... We had cravings for some fried finger foods, we had chicken baffloes wings ... ... ooo~! Very well marinated, so crispy outside and tender inside. The vegetables so fresh and crunchy. They have very good selection for sauces! Perfect combination with the chicken wings!

... ... Can't remember the full name. I think it's Chicken Snail and Sausage. According to the waitress, the "Chicken Snail" supposed to be slightly spicy but we taste a stinge of spiciness at all. The huge sausage has cheese fillings which "oozes" out when I tried to slice it. Both the chicken snail and sausage tastes normal to me but it's still considered delicious, especially when it's served on a hot plate. It keeps the food hot for a longer time. Saw the mash potatoes at the side? It has a very smooth texture. The corn is not the normal ones you purchased at NTUC, it's softer and sweeter than normal ones. I like it very much!

... ... Last but not least, it's dessert time~! We had waffle topped with Ben & Jerry banana flavour ice cream and caramel-chocolate sauce! Ooo....wonderful~!! Thumbs up for the ice cream!

Le Cafe Confectionery & Pastry: Bean Curd Tarts

Hi all! I'm back again to update on some special foods i have eaten recently! =D Just in case i forget the taste, let me blog it down ... ...

Have u ever tried or heard of the famous "Bean Curd Tarts" before? Special isn't it? Through some friend's recommendations, my sis went to Le Cafe Confectionery & Pastry located at 264 Middle Rd (refer to the yellow card below for the full address).

My sis purchased the "Bean Curd Tarts". Let me show you the lovely tarts ... ...

... ... the tarts are very nicely pack in the box with a layer of plastic moulds to hold the tarts in place so that they do not "knock each other" in the box. Purhaps the owner wants to ensure that his customer gets to eat the tarts not only in their best taste, but also in their best appeal! ... ... let's have a closer look at the tarts ... ...

As the name suggests, the fillings of this tart is made up of bean curd. Though the fillings is yellow in colour, I do not think that egg is added to it coz there's no "eggy" note when I took a stiff of it and taste it in mouth. I guess the chef might have added custard powder to give the yellow appearance so as to make it more appealing. Because the filling is made up of bean curd, when I open the box, the fragrance of fresh bean curd smell rushes out. Ooo~! Very nice aroma! I personally likes bean curd alot. Unlike traditional HK-style egg tarts which crusts are flaky and falls apart easily, the crust of this tart is firm like cookies. When I took a bite of it, I was a little disappointed with the filling as it does not taste sweet at all. However, I like the crust alot as it tastes very buttery like butter cookies, and it has the right sweetness. Given that the crust is sweet, I shall not be particular with the "sweet-less" fillings! =)

The Bean Curd Tarts are selling at $1 each and there must be a minimum purchase of 8. My sis told me that Le Cafe Confectionery & Pastry also sells other items which can be found in their website: http://www.lecafe.com.sg/. Do check them out if you are someone who likes sweet delicacies! AND remember to let me know how their other items taste like after you have tried~! =D

11 June 2008

Cold weather = Sleepy mood =I

Lunch time's just over and I had chicken rice brought from home. Mum's chicken rice is still as delicious. If u like to eat chicken rice and would like to cook it at home with convenience, I would recommend using Singlong's Hainanese Chicken Rice Mix that's selling at around $1.35 @ NTUC Fairprice. It's very easy because all you need to do is to mix in the packet of seasoning into the rice and cook it the usual way. And it's more economical too. With food shortage issues and regression arising, I think it's good to save up some money and not splurge on luxuries like fine dining or even frequent "buffeting" at expensive restaurants. Once in a while is ok BUT not too frequent. So sisters and brothers, when is our next makan session?...high tea at Merchant Court?!...haha~! No lah...It's always good to save for rainy days.
Ok back to my day...i'm now at work infront of my pc. It's FINALLY a damn cold day coz it rained in the morning. It din start off well today coz I was almost late for work thanks to the heavy rain which delayed the bus 169's arrival! Argh~! It frastrates me at the thought of it coz i reached the bus stop early LO~! Damn~! Luckily i met albert at the bus stop and we decided to take a train to sembawang, then take a cab to work togather. Stupid traffic lights all turned red at the traffic junctions...argh~! Late already and the stupid taxi uncle still drives so slowly...manz~! In the end..hmm..i think i was not late ba...on the dot! Hee!
Went up to office and asked OG if he's gg accounts department later and he said "yes" followed by some UNNECESSARY questions like police investigators "interrogateing" me leh! "Why u owe him money? How come u owe him money? Y both of u togather? How much he owe u?" He wanted to probe further BUT i shrugged him to stop him from asking rubbish questions! Bloody hell..ass lah..who u think u are?! Busybody man really pisses me off manz...he should draw a line between work and personal affairs. Oh wait~....albert and me are plain colleauges who seldom has any interaction at and after work...so dun get the wrong idea. It's jus a simple thg passing money to albert and OG can think of so many questions to ask me...he's really a problematic man manz! Like now, my colleauges they all discussing abt him now..all of us feel that he's behaving weirdly maybe coz he's been rejected by a gal he met at SDU. Haiz...they even speculated that he might have psychological problems like imagining things all the time. It sounds scary but i dun rule out that possibility. However, i hope it's not true.
Honestly, OG can be quite nice at times if he's not boasting, talking big, cracking lame jokes, pushing responsibility, lazy etc =X. Though he often piss me off at work, i still regard him as a senior friend and really sincerly hope he meet his lifetime partner soon. I looked forward to attending his wedding ...though i doubt it will be so soon! You know...sometimes i do pity him for being still single despite attending many SDU events BUT when i think of how he pin-points and describes the weaknesses of those females he met in terms appearance like "aiyo, when close-up, she has alot of wrinkles leh! Aiyo, she has a tummy leh! Aiyo, she looks old leh..like auntie wor~!"...comments like these, I am doubtless that he DESERVES being SINGLE at the age of 30 plus!! Come on! Firstly, he dun look young at his age. Secondly, who are you to say others have wrinkles when he himself has so many of it! Thirdly, he has such a HUGE belly which he claimed to be "slightly protuding only mah!"....wah piang~! That's being decieving k! I have never met any guy critisizing women till such a state! Ok...enough of him...if i continue writing, i will have heart attack!
Back to doing my ISO documentation...ARGH~!!!

25 May 2008: Singapore Food Fair 2008 at Singapore Expo

Yeah~! I have been looking forward to this biggest food fair in Singapore which is held at Singapore Food Expo annually. Decided to bring mummy, who loves food but has never went to the fair before. Since i'm not working today, i decided to accompany my mum to the food fair. Papa din tag along as he has arranged to collect his badminton racket from town. So mummy and me took bus 24 and yesh~....it's a one hour plus journey! How i wished i had a driving liscense and a car! =X

Oh...when we finally reached the place, we were like "woo~! So many people arh~!" After going to the washroom, we were ready to look for nice yummy foods to eat~! haha! I can feel that mummy was very excited coz the moment we step into the hall, she was like so energetic when she saw the foods! There was meaty, juicy siew mai, kong ba pau, shark fin abalone soup, otah, and so many other foods to sample!

Though i have been to this fair two yrs ago, this year seems to be different. I dun feel the same probably because i'm working in the food industry now and my company is there at the fair. I also see more familiar faces at the fair. Besides, I'm more farmiliar with the food brands in Singapore. I was very happy to see the brand VICO. VICO is a kind of chocolate malt drink which taste quite similar to MILO. I would say it's almost 80% similar to MILO. It is manufactured in Malaysia. It was only recently that I got to know this brand when i was doing a project on a certain instant beverage. It's such a pity that VICO is not available in Singapore. Therefore, i decided to buy a packet of it. Do try it if you have the chance. It is more malty than MILO and it tastes very nice when drank cold, coz the mouthfeel and sweetness is jus nice.

Below are the food products i brought from the food fair:

A table full of FOODs~~~. . . . . .

Let's ZOOM in . . . . . .
From the famous Thomson Foodstuff Manufacturing which sells traditional chinese snacks, we bought rice dumplings known as "Ba Zhang" and "Nonya Zhang" (my fav!) . . . . . .

. . . . . . and some rice kuehs known as "Beng Tou/Kueh" (the ones in pink) Papa says it's very delicious. Not many people are capable to make the skin as soft like this and with very tasty, frangrant rice fillings. The fillings are often make up of glutinous rice, salted prawns ("hae bee")and peanuts.

These are my favourites known as "Dao Sa Pia". I never fail to buys them whenever i go to this event! I used to like the salty ones, but now i think the sweet ones are also quite nice! These are from Fragrance ("Xiang Wei")

These are for morning breakfast! Eat them with fresh milk and that shall boost my glucose level and energise me in those early mornings! These are products from Nestle . . . . . .

This is the one i mentioned jus now. Vico 3 in 1 Chocolate Malt Drink.

Sauces from Kee's: Char Siew Sauce to cook with pork or chicken, Sweet and Sour Sauce to cook with chicken or fish, and Sambal Belacan Chilli to cook with kang kong/bbq fish or sotong or even jus eat it with rice! Yummy~!

Flosses from "Xiao Tai Lang": Pork, chicken, fish and laksa fish flosses. I find the laksa fish floss something new and special. It tastes quite nice but i find it too mild.

This is the brand which mummy always buy to cook chicken rice. If you like your chicken rice not to be too oily but yet can accept it to be slightly salty and more flavoured, I will recommend that you use this brand. Can add half to 3/4 packet of mix to 2.5 cups of rice if you dun want it to be too salty.

Some ingredients for tonic soup . . . . . .

This is for lungs . . . . . .

This is for cough and sore throat . . . . . .

This is for to boost the appetite . . . . . .

After the food fair, mummy and me went to century square for dinner. Every time i go to tampines, i always like to go the Wang Cafe at Century Square basement for a cup of coffee. Firstly, it is served in traditional coffee cup which i like it very much coz it gives me a feel like i'm back to the 60s. haha! Secondly, the coffee is very well blended with the correct sweetness, bitterness, mouthfeel and aroma. The coffee bean used is well roasted and every sip i take, i can smell the fragrance of the coffee. Ooo~! NICE~! It's worth the price~!

Haiz...i spent approximately 60 SGD at this year's food fair SG Expo. Well it's considered little as compared to two years ago..haha! As long as mummy's happy, my family eat the foods with joy, 60 SGD in exchange with the happiness of my family, it's definitely worthwhile and i have no complaints about it! Ok...that goes my weekend....tmr's back to work again...!

20 May 2008
Smsed J and S that i'm not turning up for work today. I was coughing the whole night and din catch much sleep, so decided to take MC since i woke up with a bad headache. Well okay i admit i was tired too and dun feel like working today...hee! I'm a sick person nehz. With the accompany of mummy, dad dropped me off at my company doctor somewhere in AMK. The blazing sun made me feel worse and i feel as if i'm melting at any time. Gosh! And i have to wait for so long~! Had a simple lunch before heading to AMK Hub NTUC wif mum. Was there to buy some grocerry for the week. Despite feeling ill, it was an enjoyable yet educational trip to NTUC coz i got to learn alot from mum like how to know if the fishes are fresh, what are the features to look out for when choosing sotong, fishes, pork, chicken and vegetables. For vegetables like broccoli, i have no idea how to choose them! Now that i'm the groccery "purchaser" for the family, i think it's reasonable that i am equipped with the knowledge of purchasing "high quality fresh food"!..haha!
Unable to resist the temptation when passing by Mr Bean's outlet, i bought a cup of soy milk. I only buy from Mr Bean coz Jollibean's tastes too sweet! Oya...the soy bean ice cream is very delicious...dun worry, it's a guilt-free dessert so gals, u all can try it! I think there's a new flavour, green tea soy bean ice cream which i saw at the recent Singapore Food Expo. Ooo..that reminds me of Vanessa! =D
Reached home around 4 plus...took a bath and saw how mum wask washing teh fishes and sotong...hmm cooking really requires some skills and practices! haha! Was feeling so tired that i fell asleep at the sofa and it was around 8 when i woke up..wow! wat a long rest! Sometimes i feel that falling very sick once in a while can be an indication that the person needs a long break coz the body has over worked! It has been quite some time since i last fall sick. So this is a good break for me! But i'm very sure that i will recover very soon coz my immune system is very strong! In fact, i'm almost fully recovered..thanks to the long rest i had over the weekends~!
Time for dinner~, sleep and tmr's back to work AGAIN! =(

Flash Back to 19 May 2008 (Vesak Day)

19 May 2008

Been down with sore throat, cough and slight flu for the past one week. Think it's becoz i have been drinking lot of cocoa drink @work. It's a very warm and dry day today. Nevertheless, having rested over the weekends, how can i waste this wonderful PH slacking at home? Moreover, it's Vesak Day and it's been sometime since i last went to pray at the Guan Yin Temple. So i decided to meet up with yi chun whose going back to office (located near bugis) for a 2 Hour meeting. Duh~! Stupid right?!

So upon reaching Bugis, i walked over to the temple. Omg there was so many people when there. I almost wanted to give up going in to pray but since i went there alone, i thought it should not be that difficult. So i squeezed my way through to get the incense, light it up, den squeezed my way to put them before squeezing again into the main hall. Squeezed my way to the donation box and donated some money before squeezing my way out of the temple. How many "squeezing" did i mentioned for my past sentences?! Imagine how many times i have to squeeze my way through! To me it was a huge achievement! haha! After that i met up with yi chun and we went to OG to "cool" ourselves down before heading down to bugis street. Both of us bought a pair of shoes from a shop named "Step It". I also bought a pair of leggings to "try-out". Friends who know me well will know wat i mean..hee!

This was the pair of shoes i bought from "Step It" @ Bugis Street. Hey manda, I chose this pair of Turqoise coloured shoes over the black one nehz! =P

Was having a headache after shopping around bugis street for the whole afternoon. So we decided to head down to bugis junction mall. Since both of us was tired after shopping around and when we finally get to a more vacant washroom, we decided it was time to go back after the toilet break! We were famished but becoz we were tired, we bought some food back to eat instead. We came across this shop "Chewy Junior" which sells puffs that have delicious toppings. What's special about this snack is that it has a chewy texture like mochi which explains it's shop's name. This snack is between doughnut and cream puffs, can't find a specific catagory for it..haha! One of my colleauges actually bought this for us and since i know it's nice, i bought a box of six for my family to try. Yi chun, whose a dessert lover like me also bought a box back for her brother!

The six flavours i bought are: (from top left to right) Coffee Muesli Crunch, Double Chocolate Crunch, Chocolate Oreo Crunch, Apple Delight, Blueberry Angel, Strawberry Dream

I feel that this new dessert is not damn nice but it's not bad, considering that they are not stingy with the toppings and the ingredients used are of good quality. I think it's worth the price. If you are someone who like very sweet and creamy desserts, do try out this dessert. Visit their website at http://chewyjunior.com.sg/index.html if you are interested to find out what other flavours they have!

I'm happy that my family likes them, even my dad gave a thumb-up for this dessert snack! It was indeed worth the money and time to carry them from bugis all the way back!

Flash Back to 16 May 2008

16 May 2008
Tried to wake up early today becoz i wanted to buy breakfast for my colleague, especially A coz he always give me and serene free rides to AMK. Though it's "shun bian" (along the way), i still feel kind of "pai seh" especially nowadays fuel price have rised. However, in the end i failed to wake up VERY early. So in the end, i reached yishun early and decided to walk over to the coffeeshop and bakery to buy some food for my colleauges. I bought chocolate swiss roll and egg tarts for us and one lou mai kai him. =)
Looking forward to Vesak Day(PH) which falls on Monday, right after the weekends! It's a long weekend manz! Because it's a friday, I am in good mood today and this spurred my cravings for sushi. Actually, for the past week, i have been craving for japanese food. I dun mind budget jap restaurant coz I jus wanna clear off my cravings. Moreover, i'm more particular of the accompany i get during meals! *Hint hint! haha! So i decided to meet up with yi chun, my "makan kahki" for dinner @ Suki Sushi (4190 Ang Mo Kio Ave 6 #01-B K Box Plaza Singapore 569841Tel: 6456 8191). Things go so smoothly today and i got to take a free ride from my colleague Mr A, the Mr Good Guy...haha! Though i reached AMK early, chun was stucked in a traffic jam and so in the end i have to wait for her. Luckily i have my CLEO magazine wif me!
We ordered ala carte as usual. To my disappointment, the quality of the food has dropped ALOT! The sauce on the vegetable tempura was too salty and the chawanmushi which was rated on of the best by me was over steamed till it's quite hard. Usually, I would order at least 2 chawanmushi without fail, but this time i din after my first one. It really tastes terrible becoz jap steamed egg is supposed to have very soft, delicate texture which wobbles when shaked. I'm so disappointed! I think i will not go there again unless i'm on serious budget! It was miracle we spent only about 10 bucks each coz we usually exceed that amount. It was also shocking that chun actually feels full after the 8th plate...hahaha!!
I din join my family for dinner at manhattan fish market @ The Central coz it was too last min and i have planned to have it wif chun already. Anyway, i got negative feedbacks from my sis regarding the food they had there. haha...lucky i din join them..=X. Passed by the mini food fair @ basement AMK Hub and bought a bowl of "ma la" spicy fishball, vegetable and toufu soup despite the fact that i'm having serious sore throat, cough and slight flu for the whole week! Ate this before and it's really SPICY but i like it manz! Later, I met up wif my family at AMK mrt and went back togather. That ends my day...~!

Flash Back of 04 May 2008......

04 May 2008
Met up wif my yi chun and manda for "k" at Cineleisure. Wow~! I think it's really a "let-go" in the ktv room for all of us, especially yi chun coz her demanding MALE boss in US is causing her to go crazy. It's damn shiok to sing out loud after a week of hard work. This is wat i called "STRESS-RELIEVE-TREATMENT (SRT)"! After "k", we went to shop around in town. I was looking for t-shirts since the weather is becoming extremely warm and humid. I came across a shop in Cineleisure and bought a t-shirt from the brand "STITCH". Hmm...the quality is quite good and that's why it cost me about 20 bucks for that simple t-shirt!! =X Since yi chun and manda are meeting their family for dinner, they went off ard evening time which left me to shop around alone. We parted at C&K at Wisma. I was disappointed that i can'f find any suitable shoes at C&K...argh~! So i went off to Far East. Well, i dun expect to buy any clothes and shoes from there but i jus wanna look for bags and accessories like belts. Wow...i really enjoyed shopping alone though some ppl may give me a weird look as if saying "hey, she's crazy or wat? shop alone? no bf ar?..." haha! who cares?! It was a fruitful trip. I managed to buy 2 t-shirts and 3 belts. AND IT"S SO CHEAP~! I feel as if i have been cheated for money at Cineleisure (i'm referring to the t-shirt bought from STITCH)

Below are some of the things i bought for the day:

This is the t-shirt i bought from STITCH @ Cineleisure. Quite surprised that i like this design..haha! Coz i dun usually like colourful designs! =X "Love is Reality"

This is the t-shirt i bought from a push cart @ Far East Plaza. I bought it with the risk of me unable to fit into it...luckily i could when i tried it at home. hee! I also bought another one with the Hakkinen Beer Design, which my dad thought was a FOC gift from Hakkinen with purchase of their beer. Omg~!

I simply like t-shirts! Guess I'm back to my "poly-student" image again!

These are the belts i bought from Far East Plaza. Hmm...the middle one supposed to be dark brown in colour but coz i took the pic using my sony ericsson hp, it appeared to be black. The first two are meant for the waist and i planned to wear them with the tops i bought from Thailand! yeah yeah! The third belt i simply meant for casual wear with my black pants and jeans.

Hmm...how i wished i'm slim and able to fit into all the beautiful clothings! Haiz! Though i have frens telling me that i'm not fat, i looked "ok" blah blah...but i jus dun have the confidence to wear clothes like mini skirts, leggings, any tight-fitting clothes! So i'm often dressed in t-shirt and jean with heels to lengthen myself..haha! And i dun have many colourful clothes. Maybe it's because i know i suit such style and yesh, THAT'S MY STYLE!
